This Cookie Policy is issued under Article 10 of the KVKK and the Personal Data Protection Board's Guide on Cookie Practices to inform visitors about cookies and similar technologies on ondokuz.org. It complements the Website Visitor Privacy Notice.

Article 2 – In short
ondokuz.org does not place cookies on visitors' devices. You do not need to sign in to use the site; visit statistics are kept without cookies, on the server and anonymously; all files, including fonts and page libraries, load from the site's own server. Opening a page sends no request to a third-party service.
Article 3 – What is a cookie
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device through your browser by the websites you visit, which allow a site to work properly, remember your preferences and/or collect usage statistics. By origin they are first-party (set by the site you visit) or third-party (set by another service embedded in the site, e.g. a video player); by lifetime, session cookies (deleted when the browser closes) or persistent cookies (kept for a set period). This Policy also covers similar technologies such as the browser's local storage.

This inventory was compiled from the site's technical structure on 09.10.2026 and is updated whenever a new tool is added to the site.
Article 6 – Cookieless measurement and third-party connections
- Visit statistics: Kept on Ondokuz's own server without cookies; nothing is written to or read from your device. No IP address is stored: the IP address and browser string are hashed one-way with a random key that changes daily and is not kept; only the country is looked up from the IP address, in a database on the same server. Google Analytics or similar tools are not used.
- Fonts: Hosted on the site's own server; Google Fonts is not used.
- Page libraries and images: Loaded from our own server; no content delivery network (CDN) is used.
- YouTube: Privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video placeholder is the site's own image; no request goes to YouTube until you press play.
- Google Maps and social media: Present only as links; no data is sent to these services unless you click them.
Article 7 – Consent management
As there are no non-essential cookies on the site, no consent is collected when a page opens; on your first visit a notice explaining this is shown. YouTube, the only source of non-essential cookies, works on a click-to-load basis: the video loads when you press play after reading the note next to it. If a non-essential tool is added in the future, it will not run before consent is given through a consent tool offering "Accept / Reject / Manage preferences", and this Policy will be updated.
Article 8 – Managing cookies in your browser
You can manage cookies and site data from your browser settings: delete existing data, block new cookies or set exceptions for specific sites. Blocking all cookies does not affect this site.

Article 10 – Updates and entry into force
This Policy enters into force when approved by Ondokuz and published on ondokuz.org. It is updated when the cookies or third-party tools used on the site change; the current version is always available on ondokuz.org.
